This book felt like a season finale. While there was a mystery in the midst of it, the meat of this novel is the parade of previous characters. The only character that didn't show up was Bubba who I'm sure Ms. Harris tried to write in at some point.
Anyone who's been with Sookie since the beginning was hoping for the final romance to begin, but it was glossed over and made too practical. This is Fiction, where are the grand gestures and simply said devotions of love that women wished men would say in real life?
This book was just "meh" for me.
