So I loved everything about this book! First there was the awesome artwork on the dust jacket. Yet, if you take that jacket off, the book is a dazzling green and when you open it up, a lovely peach. Then you turn a page and they are these beautiful drawings of coffins and flowers. I was in love before I even started reading it but read it I did and I was very impressed. The book takes place in the south surrounded by these housewives that decide to start a "not a book club" club. Loved reading about what they were reading about but as soon as the main housewife gets attacked, I'm hooked. I could hardly put the book down and yet there were times the book caused my anxiety level to skyrocket. At those times I had to walk away. Like the husbands' intervention, the attic scene and the finale. It was a good anxiety though. Not too many books that can do that to me. It was fun, it was aggravating, it was suspenseful. Highly recommended!
