Luther Dunphy is a very religious man who believes his goal is to do right to Jesus. Augustus Voorhees is a doctor who believes his goal is to do right by women.
Dunphy does his duty by killing Voorhees at a clinic.
The story is then told from the perspectives of the two men's daughters. One facing the need to follow in her father's expectations, the other trying to find herself after the loss of her father.

This novel was so good. No matter what your beliefs are, both are represented in a caring, kind manner. Definitely one of the authors best works.
