Not a typical fairy tale! I'm not sure what I was expecting of the Wicked Witch's life story, but this was definately not it. Politics, religion, predjudice, and human (& animal) rights are all issues that shaped her life. Was she really "wicked"? The book is slow in parts and I found the language a little difficult, but overall a good read.
