This book begins immediately after the fall of Sunnydale, answering such questions as how did they get out in that bus? who made it and who didn't? and what now? There are ties to both the Buffy and Angel series with references to both shows which make a nice narrative. It even includes what happened to Angel and Spike after their fight with the evil forces in the alley behind Wolfram and Hart's in LA. However, as good as several parts of this story are, some sections are too lightly covered and the ending is vastly unsatisfying. I enjoyed this book for the continuity but am terribly frustrated with the abrupt ending.
