This is the thirteenth book in the author's Flower Shop mystery series. I've read the previous dozen in the series, and this is my favorite, thus far.
I believe it adds more layers to the main character, Abby Knight, than have any of the previous books in the series. I really appreciated that, as most cozy mystery series tend to get somewhat repetitive (and boring) after book number 6 or 7 or 8, etc.
Also unusual was that it's about half-way through the book before a murder actually enters the story. I found that a positive, as well, because it provided the author more time to develop the characters and the setting.
The only negative comment that I should perhaps add is this...
Towards the end of the book, and the solving of the mystery, I think the author rushed things a bit and got a little off-track from the (previously praised) rhythm of the book.
This cozy gets 4-stars from me, and I look forward to treading the next book in this series.
