I haven't read the series in order but so far this is my favorite! It starts off a little slow, giving a recap from the other stories it intertwines with (but I enjoy this since I'm reading out of order), but then it takes off and is so hard to put down.
I found Lucia and her reasons for wanting to keep secrets from Garreth very understandable. It seems like in some books when the lead has a "deep dark secret" it turns out to be something silly or slightly embarrassing. However, with Lucia hers truly is deep and dark with no simple solution.
Also, I love the dialogue and how realistic it is. Ive found myself rolling my eyes with some other authors because no one talks like that, but not with Cole.
I highly recommend this book!
