A Baker's Dozen: 13 Quilts from Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes, and More

A collection of EXTREMELY simplistic quilts--the kind of quilt that a beginner can achieve but will not inspire her to do so. The subject of the book--using collections of small pieces of fabrics--lends itself to scrappy quilts, but no attention is given to process of making a scrappy quilt attractive; namely, sorting the fabrics into value and intensity, and organizing the quilt pattern to take advantage of this to create an overal pattern. The only interesting quilt in the lot is the cover quilt, and even it doesn't use values effectively.
