Norton Perina is a scientist who is brought to an island to study a very unknown race of people. He discovers many things about their culture and learns that they are much older than we are accustomed to people being.
He learns the secret of their long lives and earns many awards in doing so. In time, he adopts some of the children from the island and brings them back to the United States and raises them.

This was extremely well written and fascinating in its whole way of being done as a reference novel about Norton Perina.
