I just began reading the first page of this book and already feel inspired, "the steel of a person's character is forged on the anvil of one's times. And often, the darker the times are, the more brightly shines the soul that stands against them." Unfortunately this is not the book I expected, vol. 5 of The Great Lives Series. This is actually the accompanying study guide that takes the student through the book of Samuel, or at least the sections that deal specifically with Elijah. About a third the size of Great Lives version, or half according to amazon.
