My daughter loved this book based on her favorite Barbie. She is in second grade. It os a good chapter book for a 1st or 2nd grade reader. She reads much bigger books now. This book has the combination of color pictures mixed in with the reading. She liked seeing images from the movie again. Not a basic reading level. I would say this is for a confident early reader. (Like if reading Magic Tree house anf Junie B. Jones)
