Mischief and the Marquess-
Couldn't get into
The Duke's Treasure-
Beau has to marry for wealth to save his family and the dukedom. Josephine has had a major crush on Beau since she met him for the first time several years ago. He doesn't remember her. She is used to being overlooked; she is of average looks and while rich, she is not titled.
Beau and Jo embark on a marriage of convenience. They start out as enemies and then quickly move to friendship and love. Jo is outspoken and used to getting her way. So is Beau. I have to admit the speed of the change in feelings towards each other is quick and I could understand hers, but not his.
Decently paced for the length, I did like the writing style.
The Inconvenient Countess-
This is another marriage of convenience. Diana is the eldest in an impoverished formally well-to-do family. Brook needs a wife, stat, for his business deal to go through. But he has a reputation. In exchange for her family's well being, she agrees to marry Brook.
Both are surprised at how easy it is to talk to each other. They quickly find comfort in each other and this takes them by surprise. They are quick to develop feelings, but I could see it more in this one then the previous.
Decently paced and I did like the writing style.
