Heathers challenge can be just that. While I love Jenny Penn, I have to admit that at times this story was a bit verbose. While the center of the story is, of course, heather and her men, the series is about the cattleman's club. But there was only one scene at the club and the other Cattlemen, aside from GD, were only mentioned in passing. There didn't seem to be any continuity to the series aside from having references to other characters.

I did enjoy the book but was not as impressed as I was with previous books in the series. And I am hoping for better in future books for the series.
