I, too, bought this book because of the growing hype for the movie. I loved this book very much. The story is wonderful and the character development is outstanding. You come to care for this two teenagers as they move from courtship to full blown love.
I see themes from other classic books that are also my favorite and I am sure of Meyer's. Wuthering Heights and Pride and Prejudice is seen through the pasges of this book. Two people that fall in love (Heathcliff and Catherine) from different social classes (Wuthering Heights) One person who is in madly in love with the other person while the other person does not understand the other person's point of view (Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice).
I cannot wait to read the others in the series and then reread them again for utter enjoyment.
