I liked the second half of the book better than the first. I did like Katherine as a character all the way through, but I couldn't see how Jasper could possibly redeem himself. The condition that Katherine places on their wager later in the book makes the development of their relationship more interesting.
Some of the language used was not very Regency, but no book is perfect, right?
