This is a 5 star cozy book. I just loved this book. I loved the main character, I am now so in love with the author, which will probably creep him out some cause we dont know each other but I play "words with friend" with him and "scramble" on my smart phone. Maybe he will never see this review, which would be great, because he a a good opponent at these games.

Jeffrey Cohen is also: E. J. Copperman Who writes The Haunted Guesthouse SERIES) : set also in New Jersey. I read the Haunted series first by this author, and I just loved the the story line in that series. But the Double Feature has been languishing on my Dusty To Be Read bookshelf. What a shame.

Most of us cozy mystery readers know the drill, The main character is an amateur sleuth who has a gimmick or a hobby that helps the sleuth solve the crime. Then add the police detective romantic interest, add a few quirky friends and some writing about our gimmick or our hobby. Dont forget a few red herrings, a few twist and turns. So now picture that our main character is a male this time, he is jewish, and we have a female police officer as the romantic interest. Plus the snappy lines, and movie references. I mean this book is awesome. This author is funny and witty and snappy. See why I want to marry him? If the author is anything like is main character and I betting dollars to donuts (unless the cops eat all the donuts), that Jeffrey Cohen is just like this main character Elliott, then you could see why women would love this book and this author.

So if you have been putting off the Double feature series jump right on it, and then see if you beat Jeffrey at a word game on your smart phone. By the way I am pretty sure he is already married, and very happily married.
