Georgia Bureau of Investigations Agent Will Trent has just married the love of his life, Medical Examiner Sara Linton. He surprises Sara with a honeymoon at McAlpine Lodge, an exclusive mountain top retreat that takes a two-hour hike to get to. Isolated from the real world, it's the perfect place to unwind...until someone dies. Mercy McAlpine, the manager of the lodge, was found mortally wounded on the edge of the lake. Will and Sara immediately secure the crime scene and try to account for everyone's whereabouts. With a major storm on the way, they need to collect as much evidence as they can before it is destroyed by the weather.

This is a locked room style mystery. We know exactly who is renting cabins at the lodge, which family members are present, and which staff is working. They are all suspects in Mercy's murder. Will contacts Amanda & Faith to help investigate, but they cannot get to the lodge for a few days because the road has been blocked by the storm. With everyone stranded on the mountaintop, Will begins questioning the suspects. He quickly learns that everyone is lying about something. He just needs figure out which one is a murderer.

This is the twelfth book in the Will Trent series and it's still going strong. I love Will and Sara's relationship and am happy that they're finally together. I also loved this mystery. I couldn't figure out who was behind the murder, but it was fun being along for the ride. My rating: 4.5 Stars.
