A very powerful memoir of a woman who is brutally raped as an 18 year old college freshman who triumphs over her rapist as he is convicted and sentenced to prison. It is disturbing, thrilling and inspiring all at the same time. A line from the back of the books says "Alice Sebold illuminates the experience of trauma victims even as she imparts wisdom profoundly hard-won." So very accurate. Definitely worth a read.
