I picked this up on a whim at the bookstore and it was a winner! The published reviews said it is "reminisent of The Notebook." Having never read that book, I have to go from blind.
This book is a love story about a couple that has been married for 39 years. After their deaths, their children discover letters that the husband wrote to the wife every Wednesday. The kids are able to share their parents' joy and pain, the good times and bad times; and while the parents are able to affect their children's lives after they have died. Touching! It made me want to start writing my own letters to my own wonderful husband!
I laughed, I cried, I summized wrong and was rewarded with a happily, ever after! This is now at the top of my favorite books that I have read...
Hope you enjoy it as well!
