I really liked how Eden didn't change Marna's character too much to make her tougher. She wasn't a kick butt character and she isn't here even though she wanted to be. It just wasn't in her nature and it worked. I liked her interaction with Tanner but unfortunately Tanner who was so cool in the other book became a cookie cutter character here. He growls a lot when jealous and has daddy issues. It doesn't get beyond that.
