Very well written attention grabbing story.
I'm a sucker for mafia lost love second chance stories, even dark ones and yes even stories when âdaddy' became a daddy before the girl disappears and shocking him later. But this grabbed my attention right from the very first paragraph. The mafia is there since he's the head of his very small family and about to be at war for an event that he changed the course of doesn't take priorities, what does is his love for Piper after 8 years of darkness, trying to get her away where he can be the man he wanted to be for her and to erase the years apart. Which hey that what made this story so page turning grabbing.
There is a trigger warning for the readers, and its spousal abuse and a child seeing said abuse
Piper, daughter of regular people, not rich or in the mafia world. Elio, son and heir of his father's seat as a Don. They met at 17 in private high school and she wasn't impressed with Elio's power or money or him really and his buddies and parents didn't like her but Elio fell hard. Now a year later these two are together and Elio is about to place a promise ring and make her his but their loving night will be their last for 8 years. 1 +1 = 3 and when her parents find out, they call his parents and let's say, his daddy paid for her parents to do something and they all disappeared off the face of the earth. Elio was devastated and couldn't find her and with her disappearance he became what his father approved of as his replacement, but his dad did something for Elio that we won't know until later but it will change his future if he goes through with it. Most of that was the very first chapter 8 years before the events of the story.
Or will it when he see Piper after 8 years?? What will he do to save Piper and their daughter from the man she was forced to marry??
