If you haven't read Linda Fairstein before you have been missing some of the best straight, exciting crime novels around. Written by the ex Assistant DA of NYPD's Sex Crimes unit she knows her subject and is able to move the reader from crime scene to police headquarter to the courtoom as only a insider and great writer can manage.
