3.5/5.0
While entertaining, this story fell short of the genius that is in the Kate Daniels series. It moved along a little slowly and the relationship between the H/h suffered because the reader is never allowed any insight into the hero, Declan's perspective. Without it, we are forced to stay on the surface, questioning the reality of the romance until the very end of the book.
