The writing in this book is sometimes overwrought, and I found myself getting really irritated with the heroine at some points. It's good for a heroine to have some faults and not be put on a pedestal, though. I'm curious to see how Maggie's character develops in the rest of the series. The mystery in this book kept my interest and carried me through even the more wordy and irritating parts. I suspected the solution before the heroine did, but it wasn't obvious to me until near the end, so that didn't ruin the suspense. My favorite part of the whole story, though, is Felicity Dow and her group of multifaith ghosthunters. I wish I had a Felicity in my life! The handling of Felicity's religion was respectful and accurate, and as a Wiccan, that made me very happy. I'll definitely read the next book in this series to find out what new mischief Felicity and her crew lead Maggie into. Not a perfect book, but a cozy mystery indeed, and I recommend it.
