Okay a retelling of Jane Eyre, cool right? Meh. This book had so much potential but some of the dialogue which was great in the original didn't seem to fit in this modern take but the author used it anyway. However, as a first novel it was pretty good. I thought it was really cool that Rochester, known as Nico in this book, was a rockstar because I always thought that Rochester was the rockstar of the classic romance heroes. Sorry Mr. Darcy I love you but you just don't have that kind of swagger. ;-)
