This was a continuation of the Edilean story. It is always fun for the reader when previous characters are brought into the next book. Sara Shaw, one of the three friends at the Edilean Manor is the primary character. Joce, Tess, Luke, Ramsey and the many characters of Edilean, Virginia are all further developed in Scarlet Nights, but don't overwhelm the main character.
This was not as good as Lavender Morning or Days of Gold, but worth the read.
