Very interesting story that really seems to go nowhere. You follow the life of Anna and the Swallow man through many years of the war and at the end of their time together the story just stops. No resolution. You do not find out who he was, who she was and now is or will be, you don't know if the war is over, you don't get that feeling of the story/book being finished. Very unfulfilling as a story.
