The story line is okay, but the plot is a bit predictable. The newer books by this author seem to be less "original" than previous ones. This one reminded me a lot of "Dead Like Me" so I had to wonder, especially since the book came out later.
And what's with the term "Death Merchant"? It's not like these guys sell guns, tobacco or liquor. Wouldn't "Soul Merchant" be a better term?
I really wanted to love this, but it just didn't have an original feel to it. It was funny, but just a bit lame.
