Sister J began life as a child star in Hollywood who morphed into a troubled teen star obsessed with drinking and drugs. While training for a role in a Steven Segal film, she learned martial arts and kept up the practice for health benefits.
She had an epiphany and decided to ditch the Hollywood scene for life as Sister J. Sister J and the people she interacts with wonder if she has made the right career choice.
This book's cuteness wears thin after a while. The stories improved once I understood that and started pacing myself (reading them for shorter periods).
