This book upset me so much that I started making notes about this awful book.

The main characters were hateful to each other and used too much foul language. The detectives treated each other horribly (there's a difference between ribbing and viscous behavior, and the author repeatedly crossed it). This author made the British detectives appear to be randy rabbitsâalways on the prowl for a good lay.

Don't get me started on the girlfriend; it was so unrealistic that it was absurd. Oh, and one of the detectives turns out to be a pedophile (that is another absurdity).

After this experience, I've decided not to pick up another book by this author.
