This is typical Patricia Cornwell. In this latest Scarpetta novel, Scarpetta and her sidekick, Pete Marino, find themselves back on familiar stomping grounds. Kay Scarpetta is asked to return to Richmond, VA to investigate the unusual death of a 14-year old girl. The current medical examiner personally requests her help, but it is obvious by his attitude that he really does not want her there. So what's behind his request. This was a great read.
