This book has an interesting twist, as it turns out Maisie isn't as perfect as she appeared in previous books. In her pursuit of perfection, Maisie can be more 'helpful' than her friends want her to be. This dilemma shares equal time with the death of a person she knew in her youth. In fact, a number of old friends from her past make an appearance.

But was the death the result of an accident, or was it murder? And what was the old friend involved with anyway? Maisie stumbles upon a conspiracy which may or may not be to the benefit of her country. And if it is beneficial, can she overlook murder?
