Another good entry in the Longmire series. I recently finished watching Season 5 of the Longmire series on Netflix and it left me wanting more...especially with the cliffhanger ending. Kindness Goes Unpunished is the third Longmire novel and the 4th that I have read. I really enjoy the Longmire TV shows and the novels are just as good...I need to finish reading them! Anyway, this one has Longmire and his Indian cohort, Henry Standing Bear traveling to Philadelphia because Henry had been invited to lecture at a Native American conference about his collection of Mennonite photos featuring the Native Americans of Wyoming. Longmire decides to tag along so he can visit his daughter, Cady, who is an attorney there. But as soon as they arrive, Cady is assaulted resulting in a head injury and coma. It turns out the assault is related to a drug operation along with government corruption in the city and of course Longmire takes action to solve the case. Vic's family, the Morettis, also live in Philadelphia and they are there to help out.

This novel was a little different with Longmire being out of his element in the big city rather than the big sky of Wyoming but it definitely works! Overall, another fast-paced outing from Johnson that I would recommend. Hope to get to the next in the series soon.
