My daughter had borrowed about 15 books from her local library so she could read them to her 5 yr.old daughter & 3 3/4 yr. old son. I happened to read one to my grandson & we loved it! Laughed & laughed! I asked him questions what he thought this bizarre family would do on the next page, with, for example, the information that Mommy Bunny was going to stuff a turkey, or what they really meant when they said they'd take their bicycles to the beach. They misuse so much of the English language, with hilarious results. I read 2 more of them, at that time, to both grandchildren. Oh, my, the house seemed to shake with laughter! These books are a wonderful way to start them thinking about the meaning of words, and how to connect words in order to convey the needed meaning. I HAD to order this book so they could permanently chuckle anytime they wanted to do so.
