Miss Julia Strikes Back
Ann B. Ross
Miss Julia, no. 8
Fiction
4 out of 5
Ask anyone south of the Mason-Dixon Line, and theyll tell you: irrepressible Miss Julia is a paragon of propriety. So when some of her jewelry turns up missing after a party, it stands to reason that she reacts with no small amount of indignation. After hearing from Sergeant Bates that a Florida-based jewel thief has been fleecing homes clear across the South, theres nothing to do but to pack Little Lloyd into the car and head for Palm Beach. Now all she has to do is find a disguise, locate the perpetrators hideout, and perform a little righteous repossessionunless the feds get there first
Ms. Ross has revamped this series by using some new characters as the main co-conspirators. The old ones are conveniently out of the country. She has also given it a new setting, Florida instead of North Carolina. Good read. There is already a ninth book in the series out so Ill probably have to acquire it soon.
