This book was just o.k. Many people referred to it when I was looking for a book similar to Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander", but this book falls far short of expectations. The dialogue was laughable at points, the characters are shallow, and I just could not get used to the heroine's far too masculine name- "Dougless", and her constant jealousy and whining really got on my nerves. I found the ending unsatisfying as well.
