I enjoyed reading this book, which fit into two of my favorite literary genres - memoirs & travel writing. It was mostly about the relationship between the author, Franz, and his brother Kurt. They started out fairly distant, and became close over their two year journey around the world. Especially touching were the parts about LaRue - their 99 year old grandmother - who shared the boys' postcards with everyone in her retirement community.
