A war story written through the pen-pal letters of two teenage girls, one American and one from Croatia, (formerly Yugoslavia.) The girls share details of each of their lives; the American teenager shares about her daily life in school, family, and lifestyle in America.; the Croatian teen shares her life amidst war between the Slavs and the Serbs. An interesting story about the Slav/Serb war and an American teenager. A good read for the young reader.
