Jennifer Weiner is fast becoming one of my favorite authors of so called Chick Lit. Her writing is funny, witty, tender and heartbreaking. Her books tend to be slices of life we can all relate to. Frequent glimpses of yourself, or someone you know makes you care about all her characters. And her books usually have a happy ending
Little Earthquakes explores first time motherhood as seen through the eyes of 4 unlikely friends as they discover that having it all: motherhood, jobs, husbands and a life is a daunting task. Much of the issues explored are those you never read about in those What to Expect books, or see on A Baby Story.
I have minor complaints, mostly about the male characters, which all seemed a bit weak. Other than that I enjoyed this book; I laughed, cried and look forward to more books by Ms. Weiner.
