Not every day does a book come along that completely enthralls you in its story. And not often for me is that book a war book. Well, Chasing Mona Lisa by Tricia Goyer and Mike Yorkey just came along. And let me tell you, this is a humdinger of a book:)

I have recently become interested in reading books that are focused around the war. Either of them. I like historical novels but it has to be really good for me to like a World War story. So I had mixed feelings when I started this book. I shouldn't have worried at all. Tricia Goyer and Mike Yorkey weave a tale of intrigue, fast paced action and a little bit of romance that pulls you into the book. I had a hard time when I had to put this book down. I mean, I can't stay up reading through the night, but I wanted to see what happened next:)

There are many different characters in this book though there are two main characters. But believe me, you could easily get lost with them all. You have to pay close attention to see who is being talked about. I enjoyed the French Resistance aspect of the book as I have only read a little bit about this. Overall the book was very well written and the plot was excellent. There were a couple things I thought didn't have to be in there and they would probably make this book intended for adults only. I am seeing more and more of this happen and I wish it wasn't. It was not enough to make me put the book away but I wish there was less of it. Overall though a good book with believable characters. Wonderful history lesson!!

I received a copy of this book for review purposes. I did not receive any monetary compensation.
