Lillian B. Yeomans' father was a doctor and she followed in his footsteps
As a young woman practicing medicine, Miss Lillian B. Yeomans became hopelessly addicted to drugs. "I was a perfect wreck mentally and physically," she wrote later. One of Dr. Yeoman's nurses said she was "like a skeleton with a devil inside". Dr. Yeomans' medical colleagues could offer no help. Christian Science tried but was unable to cure her. Her friends gave up hope. Lillian tried many times to quit drugs on her own without success but instead became bed-ridden.

Freedom from the long night of bondage came miraculously when a minister became burdened for her. He pointed her to the Word of God and then prayed night and day. [Her complete story is told in chapter 1 of HEALING FROM HEAVEN]

Miss Yeomans gave up her medical practice and then for the rest of her life - some 40 years - was a popular Bible teacher and writer. After her mother died in 1913, Dr. Yeomans and her sister bought a large home with money they had inherited. This house was designed as a "faith home" similar to the one run by Carrie Judd Montgomery, with whom Dr. Yeomans had a long-standing relationship. They would read scriptures on healing to the sick, and would tell them to speak these scriptures over themselves. Their goal was infuse people with the knowledge that God still heals today. They had some very remarkable healings. Miss Yeomans died in 1942
