Lacey Farrell was showing an apartment in New York when she witnessed a murder and heard the dying words of the victim. She is placed in the witness protection program in Minneapolis until trial where she meets Tom Lynch and starts dating him. Then she discovers the killer has traced her to Minneapolis. She heads back to New York to find out who the killler is before she is the next victim.
