I bought this book in Auschwitz. I started to read it in my hotel room and quickly realized it would need my undivided attention, so I put it away until I returned home.
It isn't gory, nor does she go into the worst parts of her imprisonment. But it is an excellent, moving account of a young girl's life during the Holocaust.
I couldn't put it down, and it stayed with me for weeks. I told my husband some things I was reading and he won't read it.
