Books one and two of the Manning Series.
Book 1- The Cowboy's Lady
Taylor Manning moves to Cougar Pointe from Seattle, to heal a broken heart. The last thing she expects to find is romance. But the attraction between her and rancher Russell Palmer is instant. The banter between this independent woman and chauvinistic male is entertaining and romantic. This was a sweet romantic story. You really are pulling for the two characters to end up together.
Book 2- The Sheriff Takes a Wife
Taylor's engaged younger sister, Christy, comes to Cougar Pointe to help with the birth of her child. While there, she falls in love with lawman Cody Franklin. The problem is, Christy has always done everything her parents expect of her and they are ecstatic about her engagement to James. I didn't like this story as much as the first one. I found Christy to be too much of a pushover. She was so concerned about hurting her parents and James that she ended up hurting everyone more.
