This book is Excellent, I could not recommend it more highly, I really couldn't. Nineteen authors deliver up wondrously creepy and horrifying tales and then describe the influence the great Edgar Allan Poe has had on their own work. There is not one story here I did not enjoy, they all have something to offer that admirers of Poe will appreciate and treasure but my favorite tale could be no other than; "Technicolor" by John Langan. It is the final tale in the volume and, in my opinion, the editor saved the very best for last. Technicolor is subtle and brilliant and has not only the flavor of Mr. Poe but also a taste of H.P. Lovecraft, another of my favorite writers.
This must be my year to discover great anthologies because this is the third anthology I have read in 2010 and the third that absolutely thrilled me.
