This is one in a series of seven books about the seven deadly sins.
I was disappointed in this book and in the series. I thought they would be written from a Christian perspective and explore these sins from their naming to present times.
This book was written by a Buddhist. It seems apparent that he has no sympathy for the Jewish or Christian perspective. His review of the Hebrew scripture (or Old Testament) perspective of God skips through history, hitting the points of God's anger toward humans, but describes them as if God was human.
His treatment of Jesus is better, but not much. He says that Jesus stumbled upon the same precepts that Buddhist has understood for "millennia" (his words). HE covers this in just a few pages.
