Fannie has grown up in a wealthy home and practically raised by the house servant. She hadn't had a good relationship with her mom, though she tried. She was very close to her friend and neighbor who is blind. When her mother dies, she finds out her mom had a twin sister. With no one else in her family, she sets out to find this aunt. In the beginning of her journey she meets a kind man named Samuel who is willing to help her. He is always reading his mother's Bible which sparks an interest in Fannie to hear more of the words in the book. Many things happen in the book that are tragic or hard to deal with, but the story was well done. I enjoyed the characters and how you were able to get to know them each pretty well. It was a pretty good book. Although it is a Christian Fiction Romance tale, there isn't a lot of romance, and it is more about finding God and understanding His love for us.
