My expectations were pretty high for this book, and I don't really feel like it delivered. I feel like I barely got to know any of the characters; Amanda the protagonist has very little personality, and she tends to only give cursory descriptions of the other people in her life. Several times there seems to be the suggestion that the story is intended to be metaphorical, but I wasn't exactly sure what it was meant to represent. The struggles of being a woman/wife...? Whatev. Ultimately, the story played out a lot like a horror movie: predictable, but entertaining.
