Excellent book! Takes you into the dark life of an alcoholic and how it impacts so many parts of your life. It's so realistic, makes you wonder if Grisham knows about it first hand! I was also really impressed with the underlying Christian principles in some parts and how Grisham used that to show the power of trusting in God's grace and forgiveness. Most authors just lapse into the usual internal all-the-strength-you-need-is-inside-you approach that is parroted by modern humanist counselors (which is absolutely useless). Please forgive the rant, but read the book, you will love it.
