Engrossing historical adventure set during the Klondike gold rush. It's a really unique setting for a romance for me, and there's a heavy dose of tragedy. All fascinating, but I was disappointed with the small amount of romance in comparison. I just couldn't pass on a tale involving a Canadian Mountie while marveling at the sheer courage and determination of the settlers who scaled the forbidding mountains for gold, a new beginning, or adventure. 4 stars.
